Happy 40th Anniversary!
1984年創業したカフェ香咲は2024年3月で40周年を迎えることができました！
いつもお店を支えていただいているお客様には心から感謝いたします。
40周年を迎えた香咲はこれからさらなる飛躍を目指しています。
伝統を大切にしつつも、新しいことにも挑戦したいと考えています。
そのため、この度店舗の改装・拡大を行うことになりました。
日頃から、席数が足りず狭く、お客様に長時間お待ちいただくことや、
狭いキッチンで多くのメニューを作ることに苦労していました。
これらの問題を解決するため、隣の物件と統合して店舗を拡張することにしました。
お店を改装工事するということについて
私自身がとても深く悩みました。
何よりお店の古くからある独特の雰囲気を壊してしまうのではないか？
ということです。
40年間、香咲が全く変わらなかった訳ではありません。
古くなった床を張り替えたり、トイレを新しく改装したり・・・。
棚をつけたり仕切りをつけたり・・・。
今までも沢山色々なことをしてきました。
そういう中で私が細心の注意をはらって来たことは
できる限りイメージを壊さないということでした。
古くからのお客様をガッカリさせないように、
イメージを壊さないように気を遣いながら、残した方が良いものは残し、
直すべきところは直すということを繰り返してきました。
しかし今回の工事では、かなり大掛かりな変更をしなくてはなりません。
それなので今の香咲の状態が見られるのはあと少しの時間ということになります。
新しい「香咲」は伝統的なイメージをできる限り継承しつつ
変わっていきます。
私自身、40年間見続けた景色が変わっていくことに寂しさを覚えています。
長い間来てくださったお客様もきっと同じような気持ちを持たれる方が
多くいらっしゃるのではないかと思います。
その方々を裏切らないような形で、デザインを進めて行っておりますので
どうか、新しく変わっていく香咲にも是非お付き合いいただければと思っております。
現状での店舗運営は4月7日（日曜日）までの営業となります。
営業再開は6月頃を予定していますが、工事の進捗により変更する可能性があります。

Cafe Casa was established in 1984, and we are thrilled to celebrate our 40th anniversary in March 2024! We are deeply grateful to our customers, whose support has been the cornerstone of our journey.
As we mark our 40th year, Casa is aiming for new heights. While we cherish our traditions, we're also excited to embrace new challenges. To this end, we've decided to renovate and expand our store.
We've faced challenges with limited seating and a cramped kitchen, making it difficult to accommodate our customers comfortably and prepare a wide array of menu items. To address these issues, we are expanding our store by integrating the adjacent property.
The decision to renovate was not taken lightly, especially considering the potential impact on our store's unique atmosphere that has been nurtured over decades.
Over the years, Casa has seen many changes - from replacing worn floors and renovating bathrooms to adding shelves and partitions. Our primary goal has always been to preserve the essence of Casa while making necessary improvements without disappointing our long-standing customers.
The upcoming renovation, however, entails significant changes. This means there's only a little time left to experience Casa as it currently stands.
The new Casa will undergo changes while doing our utmost to preserve its traditional essence. Having witnessed the scenery of Casa for 40 years, I feel a sense of melancholy about the changes, and I believe many of our loyal customers might feel the same. We are committed to evolving our design in a way that does not betray those sentiments.
Please note that our current operations will continue until April 7th (Sunday), with plans to resume around June, although this may change depending on the progress of the renovations. Updates will be provided on our website and Instagram.
